abilene shower

i'm so far behind on blogging so it's no surprise that i'm just now getting to the fabulous shower that we were given in abilene!
my sister-in-law, rebecca, and some of my mother-in-law's sweet friends threw us the most precious shower a few weeks ago.

rebecca made the cutest decorations

our mamas

such a sweet, special day! we are beyond thankful for the support of the wonderful friends and family that have helped us prepare for baby perry!

4 years!

thursday, august 25th was our 4 year anniversary.
there isn't a lot you can do when you're 3 days away from your due date
so we had dinner at one of our favorite places.
later we sat outside and enjoyed one of our last few nights as just the two of us.
it was perfect.

this guy has made my life better every day for the past 7 1/2 years that i have known him...
and he will be the best daddy to our little perry. i can't wait to see him in action!

we've had so many happy memories over the years and i get so excited when i think about the time ahead of us! God has blessed us, indeed.

happy anniversary, mr. b!
i love you so much!

nursery part 2

we are almost finished with perry's nursery!

here's a shot of the changing table:

and complete bedding!

our bags are packed:

and my sweet friends lucy and mckinsey found this adorable table while antiquing! my sis gave it a couple of coats of gold paint and it matches perry's crib perfectly!

so we're just sitting and waiting on baby belcher for the next week or so! I feel like 'to be continued' would be an appropriate phrase right now!

final stretch

a couple of posts ago, i mentioned that andrew and i were treated to a maternity session with hannah vickers.
she is fabulous. the sweetest little thing with tons of energy. and she is beyond talented. andrew and i are super awkward in photos and she made us look like maternity models. genius.

here are a few of our favorites:

last monday, perry and i had our 36 week checkup. her heart is strong and sounds great! there aren't any signs of her trying to come early which doesn't really matter at this point because i am officially considered FULL TERM!
(i'll be 37 weeks tomorrow - the end is near!!)

we're both so very anxious to meet her and see her little face. everytime she moves in my tummy i think about how small her little hands and feet are. such a precious miracle from God. please continue to pray for the next three weeks! our hope is for a healthy delivery and a healthy baby girl!
