the stockings were hung...

in addition to the arrival of perry in august, i was in charge of decorations for the junior league's Christmas carousel this year (along with 2 other fab ladies). i'm surprised that my own home got decorated this year!
i've already given a quicky preview of our tree from this year. it is my favorite by far! i added a few colors this year...

i'm also a SUCKER for real garland, wreaths and greenery!

and we added a sweet little stocking to our two!

we acquired some really special ornaments from mr. b's family a few years ago. my favorites are the spanish nativity scenes!

merry, merry Christmas to you and yours!

dear santa

last week, my stepdad dwight came to town and picked perry and i up.  we met my mom in dallas so that perry could meet santa!

santa at north park had quite the fancy set up. he was so sweet and a perfect santa! perry had no idea what was going on, precious girl!

we ended up with two official 2011 perry & santa photos

after our visit with santa, we headed to sulphur springs for a few days. perry and i attended a Christmas tour of homes with my parents and dear friend charlotte. we had a great time!

this face makes everyday wonderful. she's such a sweet little girl and i can't wait to update on all of the exciting new things she is doing!

our Christmas tree

this year, since perry is so small, we decided to stay close to home and did not venture out and cut our own tree. although next year, i can't wait to visit the tree farm again!

this year, we got a beautiful frasier fir. it was super windy on the day that we went to pick it up so perry and i waited in the car.

haha love this face!

my little helper
i'm really bad about overusing the iphone camera. i really need to bring out my canon!
little girl has figured out how to scoot herself off of her pillow! it's hilarious. within just a few minutes she is at the bottom!

finished! i'm so happy that i went with different colored ornaments this year. it's so fun. i love a traditional tree but we only have room for one for now! i think this one is actually my favorite!
we are so blessed to be able to enjoy perry girl's first Christmas!

The Liebster Blog Award

The Liebster Blog Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers.

Kelsey at The Balch Bunchthe sweet & stylish mama to beautiful Channing, sent me an email yesterday letting me know that she had recognized Mr. B and Me for this little award! She always has such FUN updates and is super cute and witty.

Liebster is a German word meaning 'dear, sweet, kind, nice, good, beloved, lovely, kindly, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome'.

To keep this award going (by passing along to other new deserving blogs), the recipient must now recognize five other bloggers with less than 200 follower sthat have really stood out in the crowd.

The rules for the Liebster Award are:
1. Thank the person who gave the award and link back to their blog.
2. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know!
3. Copy and paste the award on your blog post.
4. Have faith that your followers will spread the love too!

*I personally want to add to the rules by saying a little something about the blogs below!*

So, here are my choices to receive this award...

Jessica is one of my precious friends (and an Abilenean forever!!) Her adorable blog is filled with pictures of her gorgeous girl, June (who will steal your heart with her big brown eyes), her cutesy home, her craftiness, and she too is a very stylish mama. She is one of the most uplifting people that I know and has such a happy blog!
I have never met Britt face to face, but someday I hope to! She is so sweet, has an adorable little girl named Campbell, and another baby on the way. She has impeccable taste in all things fashion, home and for little ones. Her blog is filled with tons of family photos and updates on their lives. She makes me want to move to Austin asap!
Rebecca is an adorable little gal with an even more adorable blog. Becca works for a local interior design company and has fabulous taste. She & her sweetie pie husband have a super charming home and she is always crafting/designing/making something new and beautiful. She is also a hoot - their Christmas card is hysterical!
4. The Miranda Clan
Jamie is such a creative mama. I began following her via twitter a while back and love reading her blog. It's filled with educational, entertaining outings with her little boy, Kane, parties and great ideas for kiddos. Her little family is beautiful and full of fun adventures.
5. The Chronicles of KT
I'm so excited to have found Katie on Twitter! We have exchanged emails about cloth diapering a few times. She has given me great advice on different types to try and those to steer clear of.  She is mama to Landon who is about 3 months ahead of Perry. I love reading about him and his development. Such a helpful new mama!

Thank you again, Kelsey! xo

peanut's first sulphur springs thanksgiving

wow
i am so behind on blogging. it's kind of pathetic. things are so busy that when i have a break, i try to do things around the house (ie clean, cook, do laundry, etc.). my breaks are also very few and far in between.
miss perry still loves to be held.
and she doesn't have a very consistent naptime.
but we are working on it.

anyway, weekend before last, we went to sulphur springs for an early turkey day. it was great!

a few pics of our girl on the drive

and i made perry this little thanksgiving onesie to wear around the house.

it was so easy - since i am unable to screen print like my talented friend jessica, i have to use the freezer paper technique. i just printed out the design, copied it on to freezer paper, cut it out and ironed it on the onesie. then, i painted in the cut out space.

moving right along to thanksgiving festivities...

as we got ready to eat, perry got a little fussy around meal time

thanksgiving dinner was wonderful!

mom took a break to hang out with peanut
uncle coach was getting some practice in with perry while they watched the a&m game. so sweet - she was so happy sitting with him!

aunt kk got some love, too. these two are going to be great parents - can't wait for our new little niece or nephew in june!
uncle joel being crazy

papa d giving perry a bottle
sweet girl was loving all of the attention!

and i was so excited. natalie, my precious friend that now lives in australia, stopped by to meet our girl. it was a great visit and i can't wait to see her again before she goes back!

we posed for a few family pics before getting on the road. perry wasn't feeling it and passed out in my arms shortly after this!

round two thanksgiving pictures coming soon!

our third month!

our little perry girl
happy 3 months!
you are growing so much every single day. we can see differences in all that you do!

first of all, you look more like your daddy every day.
you have his eyes and his hysterical expressions. love that about you.

but you have your mama's ridiculous desire to be in the middle of everything.
you hate to miss out on something. this means we are still struggling with nap time.

you are working very hard on your neck, head and trunk control. today, you sat very straight in your bumbo seat without falling over once. quite a difference from last weekend when we had to help you.
you are recognizing both mama and daddy really well. you know (and obsess over) daddy the moment he walks in the door from work.
you are following objects with your eyes - toys, the Christmas tree, the puppies, etc.
you love the glow of lights, the computer and the tv.
you have outgrown almost all of your newborn clothes and are fitting nicely in 0-3
and some 3-6.
you are outgrowing your size small cloth diapers (eek!) that means it is time for the ladies in your life to finish up the next size!
your current favorite toy is an annoying pig that plays songs. we hook it on your vibrating chair and you squeal with joy.
you still LOVE bath time.
you are starting to pay more attention when we read.
you love to listen to the radio or when we sing to you.
you are holding up your head really well during tummy time!

your most exciting accomplishment is the precious little laugh that you gave us on tuesday, november 29th during bath time. you giggled for quite a while and daddy and i were so happy. it was one of the most amazing moments in my life!

we are loving every single second that we spend with you angel girl! love you and excited to see what you will learn in the next month!
