During my birthday week, I've spent a lot of time counting my blessings. It has been a nice week! We spent an afternoon with Perry's cousin Lillian...

We also spent an afternoon outside while the weather was nice!

And today I celebrate 28 with the people that I love! Happy Friday y'all!

our sixth month!

you have been in our lives for half a year already, little girl.

babies grow so fast! i can hardly stand it.

you are doing so much and every single day you figure out something new.

you love food. we've got the solids down now. you enjoy (in the following order) sweet potatoes, sweet peas, pears, zucchini and prunes. you kick your cute little feet whenever it is time to eat and open your mouth for us. it's priceless. it is one of our favorite times of the day. you are also still nursing 5-6 times a day. i'll take it as long as i can get it! :)

you spent your first 2 nights away from me about two weekends ago. it was MUCH harder for me than it was for you. i've never left you for longer than a few hours so i had some serious separation anxiety. you stayed with your chelle and papa d so i knew you were in the best of hands.

you are a teensy thing - you weighed 13.6 lbs last week at your 6 month check up and you are 25 inches. I think the 6 ounces comes from that huge diaper that you're rocking.

you are still wearing 3-6 month clothing.

you are sitting up on your own.

you are rolling over.

you pretty much love all of your toys but some of your favorites are

violet, your bla bla kitty, your rain forest jumperoo, sophie the giraffe and your fishy mat.

you are sitting in your high chair for all solid meals.

you don't like nap time. it's actually usually a struggle for both of us.

you don't know a stranger. you smile at everyone.

you love other babies.

you hate being on your back and would prefer to be sitting up.

you "talk" all of the time. wonder who you get that from?

you still look just like your daddy.

you are very active and inquisitive.

you are a very, very happy little baby!

i can't wait to see what you do in the next 6 months. love you angel girl!

cowtown VI

saturday before last, mr. b ran his 6th cowtown marathon. it is one of my favorite days of the year. i get a chance to see andrew do something that he loves. it was extra special this year because perry was there to "see" him cross the finish line.

i am so thankful that God put this hardworking, driven and dedicated man in my life. i know i say that constantly but seeing him finish another difficult race reminds me of these things.

also, so glad that uncle joel, aunt molly and chelle could be there to support.

thanks, uncle joel, for running the end of the race with andrew!

celebrating baby hattie

last weekend, some of my very favorite people got together to celebrate a precious new mama and the pending arrival of her special baby girl!

lauren, melissa, lindsay, courtney and i have known each other for almost 10 years. hard to believe!

spa time!

we ended the weekend with a fun trip to hattie's in dallas. it was such a fun little restaurant!

these four gals were some of the first people that i met at ACU. they have blessed me so much over the years and i'm beyond thankful that God put them in my life!

we may have to come up with an excuse to get together again in 6-9 months.
